Halloween is over!! Yippy! I have never liked Halloween that much. When I was single my friends and I would have Halloween parties and make silly fun houses, use dry ice in the punch bowl, try to scare our friends half to death......nothing more than that!!! LOL
I remember trick or treating when I was little and not liking the big kids to much. They were mean to the little kids. Some would throw fire cracker in front of us. Not fun.
Now I am a Mom and I have my kids begging me to take them out on that crazy night so that they can go to strangers homes and beg for candy. Ok?????????
I like to stay close to home because our neighborhood is insane on Halloween. There are 7 families on our street that seem to be in competition with each other to see who can have the biggest, scariest, most interesting Halloween display ever. Last year the community whoever they ares, named our street first place and best place to go trick or treating. Great! They have been doing this for about 4 years now and every year my street has to be blocked off because there are so many people it is not safe for the kids to let the cars in. THIS year was the most packed I have ever seen. There were soooo many people I thought that all of Westchester was on my street!!!
They started coming at 5:00 while it was still light outside. At one point I must have had 20 kids in line for candy on my front lawn! CRAZY!!
I think that I am going to have to start buying Halloween candy in June so there will be enough for that out of control night!
Now the weekend before was Dante's 12th birthday and on the same day my Brother got married in my back yard. I'm tired. So much busy busy busy gets boring and exhausting after awhile. Anyway, then it was Halloween and tonight a birthday party.
The Holiday Season is upon us....Are we done yet???
