Christmas is only a few days away and I am already ready for Friday.....of next week!!!
The wait is just too much for Jake. LOL He ask me every day, "Is Ho Ho coming today"? Um, Ho Ho is Santa. No matter how many times I tell him, he continues to call Santa Ho Ho.
Anyway, everday is a challenge around here. What with Eddie still looking for work, a house full of cold filled sickies and oh yea, Christmas.
This is a weird year. My Holiday spirit is alive, but my pocket book is not!!! LOL Oh well. It is good for my kids to know that gifts are NOT what the Season is about. They are reminded that Jesus IS the reason for the Season and on Christmas morning before we open even one gift, we will sing and wish Him a very Happy Birthday.
I am so gratful for the friends that the Lord has put in my life. The kindness has overwhelmed me. Never one for letting people know how bad things might really be, I caved in due to WAY to much heart ache. Now I am reaching out and asking for help. Now I am letting the people in my life know how tough it really is. That said, "There but for the grace of God go I" because there are others whose situations are FAR worst than mine.
Two weeks ago I called and spoke for quite awhile to one of my pastors. I told him everything. One thing he asked me was, "do you write?". LOL Ah, no, not on paper very often. BUT, later I realized, I BLOG!!!!! Thank you Lord that I blog.
Being able to "talk" here has been a gift that I never realized until today. Being able to tell you a little about my life has been such a gift. I am thankful to anyone who might read this.
I love to write and always have. Not about me or my feeelings but about my daily funny things that go on in my home. For instance, this morning I got up to find that Jake had put half of a bannana in our senile senior dog's water dish, added water to her dried food, took the pop-up rolls in the can out of the fridge and tried to open them, got into my unopened package of Crazy Glue and thankully, could not open it. All this between the hours of 7 A.M and 8 A.M. I think Jake is going to give Jack Bauer and 24 a run for their money!!!!
So in closing, I thank my Savior for my life, I thank Him for all of you and I thank him for a roof over our heads, food on our table and a warm bed to sleep in for all of us. It has just become that simple.
God Bless you and your loved ones.
Merry Christmas!!!
